    Fluor is one of the world's largest publicly traded engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), maintenance, and project management companies. Fluor works with governments and Clients in diverse industries around the world to design, construct, and maintain complex and challenging capital projects. While Fluor's core business centers on designing, constructing and maintaining complex and challenging capital projects, providing service to the communities in which Fluor employees live and work is Fluor's privilege.


    Fluor's giving programs focus support on organizations around the world where the company has a presence. Fluor focuses its charitable efforts and resources in the areas of:

    • Education- Fluor believes science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education is a foundation for student success. We invest in programs that inspire and prepare students to excel in STEM disciplines and are committed to developing the next generation workforce, improving teacher effectiveness with an emphasis on STEM student proficiency and persistence and cultivating youth leadership skills.
      • Fluor invests in higher education and university programs, as well as those benefiting primary and secondary schools. In 2022, Fluor and our employees provided more than 2 million hours of STEM training and enrichment to 200,000 K-12 students and teachers by investing in school-based curricular enhancements, outreach, high quality out-of-school time activities and professional development. Examples include Roper Mountain Science Center in Greenville, South Carolina, and Muntinlupa Science High School in the Philippines. Through our Global University Sponsorship Program, Fluor sponsors annual grants and scholarships at selected universities with a focus on engineering, construction and business programs to prepare students for tomorrow's global and technical workforce.
    • Economic Development- Through partnerships with organizations such as Homes of Hope, Workshops for Warriors and several regional technical schools, they support initiatives that improve job readiness, help individuals acquire gainful employment, and assist in career advancement.
    • Environment- As an engineering and construction services provider, Fluor is conscious of our impact on the environment and the need to ensure its preservation for generations to come. In addition to the company's Net Zero 2023 commitment, they also focus a portion of our giving and volunteerism on programs that can restore, reclaim and protect the natural world in communities where we live and work.
    • Public Health and Critical Human Needs- As a global company working in both developed and underdeveloped countries, they recognize how important it is to ensure that people have access to healthcare and critical human needs. Fluor provides a variety of funding and other supports for people in urgent need in our communities across the globe.
    • Giving and Volunteerism

    Fluor considers requests for operating, program, capital or endowment support. Priority is given to organizations that feature employee volunteer participation.

     

    History of Funding

    In 2022, Fluor and the Fluor Foundation contributed $4.8 million in financial support to community initiatives and programs. Since 1952, Fluor and the Fluor Foundation have contributed more than $222 million to nonprofit organizations and causes.

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations that operate in areas of Fluor service (California, District of Columbia, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington).

    Deadline Details

    In general, Fluor does not accept unsolicited grants. We encourage you to speak to the Community Affairs representative at the Fluor office or project site in your community to discuss opportunities for engagement.  Grant requests are reviewed periodically throughout the year and responses are generally sent within 90 days.
