    The Investors Foundation assists organizations in New Jersey, New York City and Long Island that invigorate their local communities with civic-minded initiatives focused on the arts, education, health and human services, youth programs and more. The Investors Foundation will provide support for organizations within the following fields of interest:

    • Arts and culture
    • Education
    • Health
    • Housing development
    • Human services
    • Youth development

    Projects serving the following populations are of special interest:

    • Academics
    • Economically disadvantaged people
    • Low-income and poor people
    • Students
     

    History of Funding

    The Investors Foundation has pledged more than $16 million since 2005 in support of initiatives in the arts, education, youth development, affordable housing and health and human services.     Additional Information

    The Investors Foundation was established in 2005 in Delaware. Please contact the foundation to verify eligibility prior to submission of a full application. Funds may be used for the following purposes:

    • Capital campaigns
    • Continuing support
    • Equipment
    • General support
    • Program development
    • Scholarships
    • Seed money

    Funding will not be given to the following:

    • Individuals
    • Labor groups
    • For Profit Organizations
    • Political, labor or lobbying organizations
    • Meals, tickets, dues, memberships, fees, travel, tuition, subscriptions, and other tangible benefits
    • Debt retirement or funding of any activity that is already completed
    • Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, culture, sexual orientation, gender, age or religion
    • Private Foundations
    • Type III supporting organizations that require expenditure responsibility by Investors Foundation
    • Programs where distribution of funding is significantly outside of Investors Bank's footprint
    • Projects outside the United States of America
    • 509(a)(3) organizations
    • Organizations that do not comply with all laws and regulations, including those related to the Patriot Act

  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible applicants are:

    • Organizations that provide services primarily to communities in New Jersey, the 5 Boroughs of New York City and Long Island.
    • Organizations in compliance with IRS regulations to be a 501(c)3 and either a 509(a)1 or 509(a)2 organization. 
    • Organizations promoting programs supporting arts, education, health and human services, youth and affordable housing
    • Organizations with clearly defined objectives
    • Organizations with active participation of boards of directors and/or administrators
    • Organizations that are fiscally responsible, show strong leadership/governance.

    Deadline Details

    Grant applications are considered quarterly in late March, late June, late September and late December. Grant applications must be submitted by February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1 for each respective quarterly meeting.     Award Details

    Awards vary based on scope and size of project. Matching is required.

    Note: All multi-year grant recipients must wait one year (12 months) after receiving their final award payment before applying for another grant
